Consulting your Urologist may enable early detection and prevention of chronic diseases that can occur in men. Chronic urinary diseases can be prevented and male health can be improved. A Urologist's role may not be limited to urologic diseases, but may assist patients in improving their overall health. Urologists provide clear and concise guidance, options and/or solutions to obtaining optimum health for their patients through a program of diagnosis, treatment, and health maintenance.
Women's Health
Bladder health and Lower Urinary Tract Symptoms (LUTS) affect as many as 40% of women and girls during their lifetime. Lower Urinary Tract Symptoms (LUTS) occur in a broad range of diagnoses, including bladder infections, urinary incontinence, voiding dysfunction, overactive bladder, and interstitial cystitis/bladder pain syndrome. Proper diagnosis and treatment can provide solutions for mitigating many of the symptoms and the ongoing effects of LUTS.
Urologic Cancer Care
Urologic Cancer Care involves detecting, preventing and treating patients with kidney cancer, prostate cancer, or bladder cancer. Diagnosing these cancer types may involve MRI imaging in order to detect and/or characterize the cancer. Robotic surgery or other urologic procedures may then be used in conjunction with active surveillance and intermittent imaging to monitor a patient's urologic health. A qualified Urologist will provide patients with their options and choices for treatment of urologic cancers.
